What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word “religion”? Do you think about rules or a book full of codes of conduct for ones self? Do you first respond to the word by saying it is a Practice of a specific belief? By the dictionary, Religion means://a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons// Now that seems like somewhat of a reasonable definition for the believer. But let me tell you what I first think of… I think of the word “Relationship”.

So many people(non-believers) I talk to about Christianity, say they just aren’t into religion and won’t be. I ask them what they think that word means, or just means to them, and they say “It’s obeying a bunch of rules to somehow, make life better…” I really do tear up when I hear this. Somehow, Christianity has been taken so out of context by so many people… When I hear it, I think of the word “Relationship” because that’s all it really is! And it’s what we should be aiming for. It’s not about a set of rules. It’s not about getting it all right. No one will ever be perfect.

Christianity is of the soul purpose of developing a relationship with God our Father and His Magnificent Son, Christ Jesus.-”Ok Scotty, where are you going with this?”-I can’t stress enough how much this word “Relationship” goes right along with what we should be living for. That’s all it is!!! I’m in no way saying you don’t have to follow the bible… See the truth is, if you have your heart fully given to Christ, you’ll want to follow what he says, cause you’ll then know He knows the best for you and His word is the Light of life.

The only reason I type this segment on this topic is because so many think they’ll get to heaven if they just follow the good ways of Jesus. I’m sorry to say, but that not true… You can’t get into Heaven by being a good person. no one can. God wants you more than ever to have a Heart to Heart relationship with Him, and if you aren’t doing that but living just by the book, you’ve got some real living to do yet.

Give God your Heart and your full attention, and let Him be yours. And don’t worry about the person in the pew in front of you, doing so well in his/her Christian walk. Even though they seem to be doing so well, Don’t envy to be “like them” for God. Because No One. No one. Cuts it. No one makes the qualifications to get into Heaven. Only by the blood of Christ Jesus, can our sins be washed away. The only thing that can get you into your real home(heaven) is a True Relationship with Him.

The Heart of God Loves a Persevering Worshiper Who, Though Overwhelmed by many troubles, is overwhelmed even more by the Beauty of God.
